I am generally in favor of extending the FTHB tax credit for as much as a year. This would reduce the impact of the fed exiting the MBS purchase program. I am not infavor of expanding the market reach...

Currently best option regarding YSP is to make Originator/Broker charge upfront points equal to the YSP and then credit the YSP back to the borrower. This shows Full Disclosure exactly what the Originator...

Couldn't agree with you more--but I'd say take it one step further. Non profit organizations like CCCS (Consumer Credit Counseling) have budgeting and basic homebuying courses offered for free...
